🏸 Magnum Tournament – the international team tournament for badminton enthusiasts
For more than thirty years, the Magnum Tournament has been a staple event within our club. This international tournament annually welcomes teams from Belgium, Germany, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom. Expect a sporty, friendly and (hopefully) perfectly organized weekend filled with exciting matches and great atmosphere.

All teams play throughout the entire weekend.
Prize ceremonies will take place as soon as possible after the morning or afternoon sessions are completed.
🎯 What makes the Magnum Tournament unique?
- Team tournament in group format
Only doubles and mixed doubles. Each team consists of at least 2 women and 2 men. Signing up with more than 4 players is allowed. - Play at your level
Teams are placed in the following divisions:
1–5 | 5–7 | 7–9 | 9–11 | 11–12 / Recreational - At least 20 matches per team & 10 per player
You will play throughout the whole weekend. - Unique final ranking system
Each set won earns 1 point for the overall ranking. - Prizes for everyone
Great rewards for the top 3 in each group — and nobody goes home empty-handed. - Badminton shop available during the tournament
Need a new outfit or want to try out a racket? You can do that during the tournament. - Shuttles: Before each match, we provide one shuttle. Any additional shuttles must be provided by the teams themselves or can be purchased at the venue. All divisions play with feather shuttles unless both teams agree to play with plastic.
📋 Divisions & Ranking
Teams are placed based on two criteria:
▶️ Team Index
The sum of the rankings of the four strongest players.
Teams whose index is below the minimum for their chosen category will automatically be placed into a higher category. For example, a team with:
- Lady 1: DD 7 DG 9
- Lady 2: DD 6 DG 6
- Man 1: HD 6 DG 7
- Man 2: HD 6 DG 7
- Man 3: HD 6 DG 6
Has a team index of 53 and must register in the 5–7 category, as their index is below the minimum for category 7–9.
▶️ Individual Ranking
A player with, for example, doubles 4 and mixed 5 has a maximum ranking of 9.
Teams with such a player can only participate in categories 1–5 or 5–7.
We will do our best to correctly assess foreign rankings to ensure everyone competes at the right level.
🍽️ More than just sport
On Saturday evening we host a cozy BBQ – the perfect opportunity to relax and make new badminton friends.
